Katy is a powerhouse when it comes to advising employers in welfare benefits and compliance strategy. And she’s got the experience and the 2017 Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising award to back it up. Her 23 years in law practice and two decades in the health and welfare benefits field provides Katy the platform needed to develop practical solutions for employers in the era of the Affordable Care Act.
In her role as a Managing Director, Katy is focused on the FirstPerson vision and making strong connections with clients and the marketplace. Her expertise as an ERISA attorney and our General Counsel lends a unique perspective that ensures clients have plans and programs that not only meet their business needs, but also comply with applicable laws and regulations to avoid costly penalties.
Katy graduated from DePauw University and the Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis, and is member of the Indiana State Bar Association (admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1993 and the Georgia Bar in 2009). Katy is a frequent local and national speaker in the benefits industry, is a Board Member for The Humane Society for Hamilton County and the Children’s Bureau in Indianapolis.
