W-2 Reporting Requirement Pushed Back

The IRS released welcome guidance last week - the W2 reporting previously slated for 2011 is now pushed back until 2012 (for the 2011 calendar year). This means that employers will have another year to work with their payroll providers to determine how they will comply with the new reporting requirement.

The IRS also published a draft W2 form that is helpful. The cost of coverage will be located in box 12 on the W2.
